Movie I Plan to See and Review: "Crazy, Stupid, Love"
I know this trailer has already been posted some time ago, but I want to feature all three trailers for the films I most want to see and analyze in July. I am excited that a romantic comedy is being released the week after what is sure to be the biggest superhero film of the summer; seeing as this movie is being released on July 29 (one week after "Captain America: The First Avenger." Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Emma Stone are going to be great in this film. However, I am still not excited about Julianne Moore's casting in this film; as I think that she is not giving a great performance in the trailer. However, I am very excited overall and it should make for a truly memorable movie.
Movie I Plan to See and Review: "Captain America: The First Avenger"
Here is the trailer for what I think could be the best action film of the summer. Opening on July 22, Chris Evans looks like he is going to be providing us with a performanced filled with determination and spirit. I also like Tommy Lee Jones is starring in the film as well; as the idea of him being in a comic book film is very exciting. This movie looks like it will be a lot of fun and and I am looking forward to seeing it in theaters and then reviewing it for your enjoyment. After all, we can all expect amazing things from a superhero named after the greatest country on Earth!!!!
I just wish that we had this movie released this weekend instead of towards the end of the month. After all, seeing as this is Fourth of July weekend, I feel that it would have been appropriate to see the release of "Captain America" coincide with the birth of our great country! Marvel and Paramount truly missed out on a great opportunity!
Nevertheless, I am really excited about seeing this movie. Moviegoers really need a hero that they can rally behind in a time of need. And, who better to do so than Captain America; a symbol of not just comic book films; but also The United States of America!!!!
USA!!! USA!!!!
Movie I Plan to See and Review: "Horrible Bosses"
Here is the trailer for "Horrible Bosses;" which looks like it will definitely be one hilarious film. Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis seem to possess great chemistry; and I think this might be the best R-rated comedy of the year. Also, Kevin Spacey, Collin Farrell, and especially Jennifer Anniston, all look like they are having fun with their roles and I think their characters will be quite memorable indeed. In fact, everyone looks hysterical in this film; and I look forward to reviewing it for my blog!
Coming Soon to My Blog: What to Expect for July 2011
1. "Horrible Bosses"- Opening on July 8; and starring Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis as three employees who plot to kill each other's boss. Kevin Spacey, Collin Farrell, and Jennifer Anniston play the terrible employers; and Jamie Foxx has a supporting role as well. The performances all look hysterical and I think that this will be a great R-rated comedy.
2. "Captain America: The First Avenger"- opening July 22. The final film from Marvel Studios that will be leading up to next year's release of "The Avengers." Chris Evans will be playing Steve Rogers; a WWII soldier who volunteers for a scientific project-- in which he will ultimately become the film's titular hero. Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, and Hugo Weaving also star; the later of whom portrays the movie's villian Johann Schmidt-- who will eventually be known as "The Red Skull." Judging by the previews, Chris Evans looks like he's having a fun time with the role of the iconic comic book character; and the whole movie looks like it contains a lot of action and surprises.
3. "Crazy, Stupid, Love"- opening July 29. A new romantic comedy starring Steve Carell; who is facing a divorce from his wife; played by Julianne Moore. Steve Carell's character gets help from a professional ladies' man, played by Ryan Gosling, who gives him a full makeover and teaches him how to approach single women. The interactions between Gosling and Carell look hysterical; and their performances definitely remind me of those the later had with Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd in "The 40-Year Old Virgin." In addition, Emma Stone plays Gosling's love interest; making me even more excited about this movie-- which looks like it will be hilarious and emotional.
In addition to seeing and critiquing these films, I will also be posting other writings as well. Including:
* Reviews of other films I see throughout July.
* Mini-reviews of Saturday Night Live repeats.
* A writing about my view of comic book movies as a whole.
* A look at some movies I plan on seeing later in the summer
* And More!
Henceforth, keep an eye on my blog. I have plenty in store for July; so be on the look out for every writing I post. I'm very excited about the upcoming weeks. It's going to be a lot of fun. Don't miss out on anything!
So, have a great holiday weekend and I look forward to posting my next writing sometime next week. Enjoy the weather and stay tuned for a lot more Nater-Tainment!!!!!
Happy Fourth of July Weekend, Everybody!!!!!!

Film Analysis: "X-Men: First Class" and How to be Truly Powerful
"X-Men: First Class" Features an Enthralling Story that Demonstrates what it Means to be Truly 'Powerful'
As Mathew Vaughn’s film opens, we see meet Erik Lehnsherr; a small boy frighteningly separated from his mother at a concentration camp in Poland during The Holocaust in 1944. However, he is no ordinary child; as he is able to bend an immense metal gate simply by waving his small hands; as he does so in an act of desperation to be with his mother. However, his feat is observed by of Dr. Schmidt; a Nazi operative devilishly played by Kevin Bacon. Schmidt tries to get the terrified boy to use his powers; even going as far as to threaten to kill his mother. Erik refuses to oblige and the mad doctor kills the boy’s mother; thus leading the boy to utilize his magnetic powers in a fury of rage and full violence upon two Nazi workers. Meanwhile, in a lavish home in New York, a young boy named Charles Xavier wakes up to the sound of clamoring in his kitchen. He enters the kitchen to see what appears to be his mother; and she notices him and offers him some hot chocolate. However, by using fantastic mind-reading abilities, the boy deduces that she is not really his mother; and, in actuality, she is a small blue-skinned, shape-shifting girl named Raven-- who will ultimately go by the nickname “Mystique.” However, instead of running off in terror, Charles introduces himself and offers her to stay; making her very happy and the two of them become friends. The film then cuts to 1962, where Erik Lehnsherr, played by Michael Fassbender, is all grown up and is on a deadly quest for revenge against the man who killed his mother; going as far as to kill anyone along his way by means of his extremely magnetizing capabilities.

Menwhile, at Oxford, Charles Xavier, all grown up and played by James McAvoy, is giving lectures on mutation; and while at a tavern, a government agent named Dr. Moira MacTaggert, played by Rose Byrne, approaches Xavier and Raven-- played with great honesty by Jennifer Lawrence, who is pretending to be his sister. Dr. MacTaggert asks Xavier to meet her supervisors for a meeting; suring which, the agents are startled by Raven's astounding shape-shifting abilities. Soon, one of the agents, played by Oliver Platt, takes her, Xavier and MacTaggert to his safe base, where they meet Hank McCoy, played gingerly by Nicholas Hoult, a young man with incredible knowledge and mammal-like feet; who will eventually become known as the agile and entirely-blue-haired character “Beast." There, the government agent asks Xavier to help him detect Russian boats that carry missiles. While all this takes place, Lehnsherr, who has learned that Dr. Schmidt is now going by the name of Sebastian Shaw and is engaging in activities with the Russians, sneaks aboard his nemesis’ yacht in hopes of achieving vengeance. However, it turns out that Shaw is also a superpowered mutant; and he has enlisted a group of young mutants to help him unleash destruction. And, when he tries to confront his nemesis, Lensherr ultimately finds himself being thrown overboard following a scuffle with Shaw's forces. However, he is noticed by Charles Xavier; who is working with Oliver Platt's CIA agent in an effort to detect any nuclear activity in the works by Russian forces. And, following this fateful meeting, the two men find themselves forming a friendship on the account that they both know what its like to grow up with supernatural abilities. And, as we watch the film, it is exciting to see how the utilization of Lensherr's and Xavier's abilities challenge the meaning of the word 'powerful'.

WhenMichael Fassbender's Erik Lehnsherr is in possession of the incredible ability to extract metal and employ it in a forceful manner, he is not at all 'powerful'. As we see early in the film, Lehnsherr had to terrifyingly observe his mother getting shot by Kevin Bacon’s antagonist. This horrific act permanently and emotionally scars Lehnsher for the rest of his life; as he is now consumed by thoughts of revenge and murder-- thus making him emotionally-fragile. And, when he finally has his long-awaited confrontation, it is evident to see that Lehnsherr is bent on seeking out his mortal enemy; and murder him by use of his advanced magnetism. In short terms, Lehnsherr’s violent nature makes him incredibly weak-- in body and mind.
But, while Michael Fassbender's Erik Lehnsherr frequently employs his capabilities for acts of extreme violence, James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier is the complete opposite; he uses his mind-reading skills in order to reach out to those who are experiencing abandonment, loss, and fear. For instance, when he first encounters Raven in his kitchen when they were both children, he was able to figure out that she was alone in the world and scared by reading her mind; leading him to welcome her into his home and his life. Later on in the film, as he and Lehnsherr are traveling the world to enlist new recruits for their new organization, Xavier was able to understand what these young, genetically-enhanced, and lonely individuals want in life: aceptance. Thus, he helps them introducing them to an organization where they would be with people like themselves. Thus, Charles Xavier is a 'powerful' person; as he only wants to ensure the well-being of others.
Image of Jennifer Lawrence as Raven, Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy, James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, and Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr taken from http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.obsessedwithfilm.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/xmen-first-class-new-casitngs.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.obsessedwithfilm.com/movie-news/first-look-james-mcavoy-and-jennifer-lawrence-in-x-men-first-class.php&usg=__b82T73wlByB86cglTFAyils4sOw=&h=240&w=620&sz=51&hl=en&start=92&zoom=1&tbnid=5c0tCvMM2sngAM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=204&ei=fYQHTqeFIMXq0gHD-ez5Cg&prev=/search%3Fq%3D%2522X-MEN:%2BFIRST%2BCLASS%2522%2B%252B%2B%2522James%2BMcAvoy%2522%2BAND%2B%2522Mystique%2522%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D596%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=297&page=6&ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:16,s:92&tx=124&ty=29
And this is how Erik Lehnsherr and Charles Xavier completely contrast; they utilize their amazing abilities to fulfill different goals- which ultimately defines them as either 'powerful' or 'weak'. James McAvoy’s Xavier uses his marvelous mind-reading skills to help those in need; such as Raven, the young mutants that join their organization, and Erik Lehnsherr. Therefore, Xavier is powerful in the sense that he wants to selflessly help others for their own good. However, on the other end of the spectrum, Michael Fassbender’s Erik Lehnsherr mostly employs his powers for for reasons pertaining to violence; as comitting acts of sheer violence appears to be his preferred meathod of dealing with his grief. And, when he, Xavier, and their team arrive at Cuba to prevent an uncoming nuclear attack between The Russians and The United States, Lehnsherr is completely focused on murdering Kevin Bacon's Sebastian Shaw; and will soon have the opportunity to face his enemy in an intense stand-off. Needless to say, he is no better than his enemy; who has orchestrated the entire nuclear threat. Thus, seeing as James McAvoy's Charles Xavier wants to prevent the strike and spare the lives of many innocent people; he is the one who is truly powerful.
And, thanks in large part to Michael Fassbender’s and James McAvoy’s grand performances, their respective characters truly are believable throughout the film. As Erik Lehnsherr, Fassbender provides a strong emotional hold on the iconic character that will become known as the villainous “Magneto.” You believe the pain that Fassbender’s character is experiencing; right from the moment that Kevin Bacon’s character kills his mother, and right up to the final showdown at the film’s climax. Also, McAvoy ensures that his character Charles Xavier, who takes the title of “Professor X” by his students, as well as the ultimate leader of the “X-Men.” McAvoy provides an affecting performance throughout the film; thus giving his character an aura of immense sincerity. In short terms; the performances of these two actors provide great life to their on-screen alter-egoes; thus making them appear completely real.
Therefore, the relationship between Michael Fassbender’s Erik Lehnsherr and James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier accurately depicts what it means to be powerful. And, even though he primarily wants to utilize his incredible magnetism for violent reasons, Michael Fassbender's Erik Lehnsherr proves to be an incredibly weak indiviual-- and not at all valiant . James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier, on the other hand, truly is a powerful hero; seeing as he possesses the greatest superpower in the world: Goodwill towards all people.

Film Review: "Super 8"
The True Heart of "Super 8" is the Relationships Between the Protagonists; and Not the Monster
In J.J. Abrams’ film, we find that a terrible accident has taken place at a local steel mill in the fictional town of Lillian, Ohio. We then mee the film's protagonist, thirteen-year-old Joe Lamb; played strongly by Joel Courtney. It has turned out that his mother was the one who had died in the accident. And shortly after the funeral, Joe's father and Police Officer Jackson Lamb, played with great determination by Kyle Chandler, is taking a man named Louis Daniard, portrayed by by Ron Eldard, to a police car in handcuffs. Four months later, Joe sneaks out at night to join his friend Charles, played by fellow newcomer Riley Griffiths, make a home-made zombie film for a festival. Together with their buddies Preston, Martin, and Carrey, played by Zach Mills, Gabriel Basso, and Ryan Lee respectfully, they drive out to the local train station to shoot a vital scene. They are also joined by their classmate Alice, played strongly by Elle Fanning, who eventually becomes the love interest for Joe. As the friends shoot the sequence, a tow- truck abruptly drives across the tracks; suddenly derailing an oncoming roaring train that the kids hope to include in the scene they are shooting. Soon after crash, Joe and his friends approach the scene of the wreck and discover that something is trying to emerge from inside the train as evident by some loud thumping sounds. There are also many silver objects scattered all over the place; one of which Joe takes for himself. The group also discovers that the truck was being driven by their biology teacher Dr. Woodman, played by Glynn Turman, who appears to be unconscious as a result of the incident. As the friends take a look at a map the teacher was holding, Woodman suddenly recovers and tells them not to tell anyone what they saw that evening; otherwise, they would all be killed. The kids soon escape from the scene and the United States Air Force begins their investigation of what took place; and in the days that follow, mysterious events begin to take place, such as all the families’ dogs running away, constant power surges occur, and all sorts of appliances and people suddenly get abducted by a monstrous force. All of these incidents take a serious toll on Officer Jackson Lamb; who knows that he has a giant responsibility to keep everyone in the town safe from whatever force is causing all the trouble.

Throughout the film, Officer Jackson Lamb tries to keep his son safe; and the single father constantly objects to his son wanting to always be with his friends and filming their movie. Meanwhile, Joe is having strong feelings towards Alice; which strongly bothers his father as it turns out that her father, Louis Dainard was the one responsible for the death of his wife. Thus, he, as well as her father, do whatever they can to keep the two seperate; as both men distrust each other grately. Eventually, when trying to get information regarding the nightmare the town is facing, Kyle Chandler's Officer Jackson Lamb arrives at an air base to confront Air Force Copmmanding Officer Colnel Nelac, played by Noah Emmerich, who might provide Joe's father with answers. Unfortunately, the Air Force Commissioner subdues Kyle Chandler's character and sequesters him in a private room at the air force base; at which everyone in the neighboorhood is required to relocated to-- in order to keep safe from the monster. However, while a majority of the film seems to focus on the giant speace creature and all the terror and destruction it's causing, the true focus of the film centers around relationships shared between Joe and Alice have with each other and their fathers.
Image taken from http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://cdn.screenrant.com/wp-content/uploads/Elle-Fanning-in-Super-8-movie.jpg&imgrefurl=http://screenrant.com/super-8-movie-trailer-sandy-105480/&usg=__qiQGP7c3gpWsarxdQO07SVpF_Xs=&h=304&w=570&sz=33&hl=en&start=19&zoom=1&tbnid=e4CNFBlQiPRmMM:&tbnh=85&tbnw=160&ei=Chr-TZa3KcXGgAex5MntCg&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dsuper%2B8%2Bmovie%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1179%26bih%3D537%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=250&page=2&ndsp=20&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:19&tx=146&ty=71
While the film is supposed to be about the relationships shared by these characters, J.J. Abrams' J.J. Abrams' larger-than-life monster and its tremendous powers proves to be a significant distraction. As you watch "Super 8," you cower when witnessing eerie calm that is right before a sudden and terrifying act by the creature. And you jump in your seat as someone is mysteriously abducted by the ferocious entity. And, you raise your hands in front of your eyes as cars are thrown with great force and speed at people witnessing all the horrifying axtivity taking the place. And all the while, you are trying to figure out what type of superpowered being is causing all the terror. Is it a giant cephalopod; on account of its enormous tentacles? Or, is it a giant intimidating mammal-like creature; most likely due to the sound of immense galloping after it snatches a helpless victim? All of the arttention given to the monster is my main problem with the film and the only thing that makes "Super 8" memorable is ithe emotional subject matter concerning Joe, Alice, and their fathers.
By ignoring the power and visual effects of the monster, you can fully observe on the human aspect of J.J. Abrams' film. During the course of the film, Joel Courtney’s Joe Lamb is constantly being told by his father not to be with Elle Fanning's Alice Dainard. As Kyle Chandler's Officer Jackson Lamb still blames Alice's father for the death of his wife, he is worried that his son would get involved in a similar accident; most likely triggered by Louis Dainard's alcoholism and troublesome behavior. Nevertheless, Joel Courtney’s Joe still wants to be with Alice; even though Dainard doesn't want him anywhere near his daughter as well. After all, Officer Lamb was responsible for bringing him to jail. In short terms, both fathers distrust each other; and are thus interfering with their kids’ emotional growth.
However, both Joe and Alice disregard their fathers’ objections and try whatever they can to be with each other; ultimately leading to the film's most crucial part. As Joe continues to see Alice throughout the film despite his father's objections, Alice eventually visits him without her father knowing. But, when she returns home, her father catches her and chastises the young girl for going against his order. In a fit of frustration, Alice rides her bike off in the dead at night; only to get suddenly abducted by the space monster. Later, when everyone has been relocated to the air force base for safety, Joe sees Louis Dainard at the military base; leading the troubled man to tell our hero that his daughter had been abducted. This prompts Joe to find his friends, escape the base, and find whatever information about the monster-- as well as try to find Alice. Joe's interaction with her father is very important; as earlier in the film, Louis Dainard did not want his daughter anywhere near the son of the man who brought him to jail. However, Alice's disappearance leads the father to reach out to Joe in his time of need; eventually leading the two fathers to set aside their quarrels and work together. Henceforth, Kyle Chandler's Officer Jackson Lamb and Ron Eldard's Louis Dainard realize that they both share a common goal: to locate and protect their children.Image taken from http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://cdn.sheknows.com/articles/2011/06/super-8-movie-review.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.sheknows.com/entertainment/articles/832531/super-8-movie-review&usg=__qXRhwpBsh_seM8bfM-lDqwmp7FA=&h=300&w=450&sz=32&hl=en&start=82&zoom=1&tbnid=x4MRsOsCJDgYCM:&tbnh=107&tbnw=135&ei=Chr-TZa3KcXGgAex5MntCg&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dsuper%2B8%2Bmovie%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1179%26bih%3D537%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=141&page=5&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:82&tx=60&ty=3
And that's the truly great aspect of "Super 8." While the monster's terrifying capabilities and wrath are very strong; there is nothing more physically powerful than love. While the monster can be seen as scary, its overall appearance and fury is very generic and over-the-top. What is actually amazing is how two confrontational parents are able to eventually find a common understanding and cooperate. This gave the movie a strong heart; especially when you observe the scenes between Joel Courtney's Joe and Elle Fanning's Alice. You want them to be together and you want to see their fathers finally collaborate. Thus, with Alice being abducted and Joe setting out to find her, both parents' problems are now trivial and their children's safety is what's very important. And the personal aspect of the film is far more vital and exciting than any giant monstrosity. In fact, I wish that J.J. Abrams left out the humongous monster and wrote a coming-of-age narrative about the love shared between two youths and the relationships they have with their fathers. That way, we could be watching a movie that is built entirely around the children, their fathers, and their feelings for each other. That would have been a really great and memorable movie.
However, J.J. Abrams went the opposite route and gave moviegoers yet another giant space monster bent on creating havoc and abducting people. But, at least he did provide us with good messages about family and love. For these human qualities are more powerful than any monster from outer space and any destructions it could possibly unleash.

From the Mind of Nate: My View on The MTV Movie Awards
The MTV Movie Awards need to be Seriously Revamped; Otherwise Viewership and Interest in the Program will be Seriously Lost
As we saw "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" fully dominate the 2011 MTV Movie Awards this past Sunday, I am greatly worried that the show will see a significant decrease in viewers for the next two years. With "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part I" scheduled to arrive in theaters this upcoming November, and "Part II" awaiting release next year, I am worried that yearly celebration will suffer greatly from viewers not tuning in due to each film claiming everything it is nominated for-- just like the past three celebrations. It is more-than-obvious that the fanatics are the ones who are voting constantly for everyone involved in the franchise; and that is causing those who aren't fans of the films to lose interest in the entire ceremony. In order to prevent this from happening, I am posting some possible methods that MTV could employ in order to make it seem that the entire program is not a complete advertisement for "Twilight."
1. Set a limit on voting online. Since there does not seem to be a voting restriction for choosing your favor favorite n0minee, it is easy to imagine that fans of the film adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's immensely popular book series will most likely vote for hours on end; in hopes that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner will be the favorites amongst all the other nominees. Thus, if MTV could bring up a message indicating that you have already voted, thus making it impossible to do so repeatedly, there would be a dramatic decrease in the high level of bias towards the latest "Twilight" film. Everyone would only be able to vote only once; thus making everything fair towards all nominees.

2. Do not show any exclusive clips dedicated to the next "Twilight" film. Instead, the cable station could post any preview on their homepage following the ceremony. Seeing as every chapter of the immensely popular series will claim most of the evening's top honors, the inclusion of a sneak peak for the next movie makes the entire night seem like a two hour advertisement for the franchise. Henceforth, the only clips for any "Twilight" film shown during the Movie Awards would be previously-seen selections featuring the nominees.
3. Make more jokes about the "Twilight" films as a whole. Since the latest installment of the franchise is the odds-on favorite to win most of the evening's top honors, it would be nice to have some fun by teasing the performers and story of the film; just as the night's host and presenters make fun of each other as well. Surely the stars of "Twilight" have a sense of humor and could take a couple more zingers. If not, then they would just be shown as poor sports and that would not be good publicity at all for the films and everyone in involved with the movie.
And, if these ideas aren't enough, I suggest that MTV employs the following method:
4. Create a seperate live event that honors only the latest "Twilight" film and all who are involved with the franchise. MTV could invite the cast, the crew, all of their families and friends, Author Stephanie Meyer, and, of course, countless fans. Each of the stars could be presented with their own award and they could be given time to deliver a meaningful speech. Furthermore, the cast could reenact scenes from the latest film to everyone's delight; and various clips could be screened throughout the night-- as well as an exclusive and lengthy preview for the next installment in the series. There could even be a panel discussion where everyone tells stories about the filmming process and talk casually about all their past experiences. And, at the end, fans could get their pictures taken with the cast and get their autographs as well. In short, it would be an annual live-broadcast "Twilight" convention and everyone could celebrate together.
With this new event in place, MTV can still air the Movie Awards and give accalades to all the performers who would have been up against all the stars of "Twilight". Everyone's hard work would be fully recognized and there could be opportunities for more awards to be given out; and more previews of upcoming movies could premier as well. Thus, MTV would have two yearly live film ceremonies: The MTV Movie Awards and an annual "Twilight" celebration. That way, everyone is happy.
Nevertheless, while these possiblities could improve the current state of the MTV Movie Awards, I feel that MTV will continue to cater to the large regions of "Twilight" fans. After all, they are the ones who are spending most of their days voting online to determine the winners. Therefore, the Viacom-owned television station will most likely carry on with the current method of voting; seeing as it attracts people to the webpage. Thus, we must face the fact that the next two years will feature similar outcomes and many talented performers will not get the proper attention they deserve.
However, in all honesty, this isn't the complete case for the MTV Movie Awards. Seeing as the "MTV Generation Award" is still in place, I remain hopeful that praiseworthy performers will still get recognized by the network. For instance, in 2010, MTV awarded Sandra Bullock rightfully won the "MTV Generation Award" for her tremendous career; and, this year, Reese witherspoon was greatly honored for her celebrated work. By taking these wins into consideration, talented performers have been rewarded for their memorable performances by MTV; thus proving that the right people can, in fact, be recognized. In addition, online voters have proven to me that they are capable of choosing the right winner for "Best Comedic Performance." In 2010, voters rightfully chose Zach Galafinakis as the victor for his uproarious feat in "The Hangover." And, this past Sunday, Emma Stone was justly awarded with the title for her engaging performance in "Easy A." Because of these wins from the past two celebrations, I am positive that talented performers will get recognized for their memorable filmwork.

Because of this, I am optimistic that the future of The MTV Movie Awards could be bright after all. And, while waiting for the "Twilight" films to run their course, we can sit back and enjoy the show as it airs; seeing as there is a lot of humor spread throughout the show. And, in my opinion, that makes everything significantly better. So, even if the whole night appears to be a giant lovefest for the stars of "Twilight," there's nothing stopping us from rooting for our favorite entertainers. For I feel that there is no greater achievement for any entertainer than earning the fans' support.

Well, that's the Show
But, I guess that what we get from a network that shows horrible and wasteful programs like "Jersey Show" and "16 and Pregnant." MTV barely even shows music videos anymore. I seriously don't know what to think at this point.
That being said, Jason Sudeikis did a great job as host and he moved the show along very well. However, there were a few jokes he made that I did not find funny or amusing at all.
I also want to congratulate Reese Witherspoon and Emma Stone once again on their much-deserved awards. They are the only winners that I am entirely happy for; and their great performances are truly memorable.
Well, that's it for tonight. I've had a fun time blogging and I thank you all for following my blog during the telecast. Have a great evening and I look forward to posting my next writing sometime this week.

Are You Ready for Tonight?
1. Like the past two years, I am predicting that the latest "Twilight" film will dominate all categories it is nominated for. Once again, Robert Patterson will win "Best Male Performance;" and Kristen Stewart will once again claim the "Best Female Performance" Award-- just as she did last year and in 2009 as well. "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" will also claim the awards for "Best Kiss," "Best Fight," "Best Breakthrough Performance," and of course, "Best Movie."
All of these outcomes are more-than-likely to happen because the "Twilight" fanatics always vote like the sheep that they are. These extreme fans do not take into consideration all the great performances of the other nominated actresses and actors within all categories. And, to me, that is very disappointing and unfortunate.
2. I am excited to see Jason Sudeikis as the host of tonight's ceremony. I love his work on SNL and he is definitely one of my favorite castmembers. I am looking forward to seeing him emcee the awards; and I hope that he gets to make a lot of good jokes throughout the night.
3. Also, I am excited to see what film spoofs will be done tonight. As The MTV Movie Awards have always done great parodies of different films, I am hoping that there will be memorable send-ups of nominated movies like "The Social Network", "Inception," and, of course, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."
4. I am also looking forward to seeing Reese Witherspoon being honored with "The MTV Generation Award." I have always enjoyed her performances in different films and she is a very talented actress. I am happy that she is being recognized by MTV and it should be a very memorable presentation.
5. Finally, I am looking forward to seeing what surprises are in store for us this evening. Since this is "The MTV Movie Awards," anything is possible. Also, it will be great seeing different celebrities present the awards and I'm sure there will be some great and unexpected moments during the program. And who knows? Maybe there will be a surprise win in opne of the categories. Here's hoping for something really, really, unforgettable!
So, no matter how you look at it, I'm sure it will be a fun night for all. I'm looking forward to blogging the whole show and I really want to hear your comments. Please post your thoughts under any comments you find to be interesting. I want to hear your opinions!
So, get ready for tonight. At 9:00pm, go to my blog for the fun! I'll see you there!

Film Review: "The Hangover Part II"
In the continuation of Phillips’ original tour de force, Phil, once again played by Bradley Cooper with expert over-confidence, and Doug, Justin Bartha's character who the main characters were searching for in the first film, are preparing to venture out to Thailand for is Ed Helms’ panicky-yet-sensible dentist Stu Price’s upcoming wedding. Still reeling from their escapades in Las vegas from two years earlier, Stu is going through great lengths to prevent another disaster from occurring. And, to him, the best way to do so is by not having a bachelor party as well as not wanting to invite Alan ; Zach Galafinakis’ naive oddball that was primarily responsible for all the unfortunate escapes that occurred two years ago. However, Doug is asked by his wife to invite brother-in-law Alan to the wedding; leading to Stu and the guys to reluctantly ask him to venture out to Thailand for the weekend.
This time, however, such was not the case. Since Director Todd Phillips and Screenwriters Craig Mazin and Scot Armstrong are employing the same story structure as the first film, there is hardly any heavy anticipation present in the film whatsoever. In fact, when watching the beginning portion of the film, you are basically just waiting for the trio to awaken from the crazy night before and begin their search for rediscovery. In other words, they are simply in the same boat as before and we know they are going to work together every step of the way in order to find out what they did the night before. Furthermore, by using the original film as a blueprint for the sequel, we can predict some of the outcomes of different scenarios that were presented throughout the film. Additionally, it should also be stated that it wasn’t as exciting to see Ken Jeong’s Mr. Chow working alongside the group during their quest; as it was more hysterical and intimidating seeing him as a crazy villain rather than just a funny cohort. With all of these concepts taken under consideration, many of thee scrapes that our heroes got into this time were not as cleverly-developed or invigorating as those they experience in the original . And that takes away much of the excitment from the sequel
